History

In 1997, after spending 10 years in the medicinal fraternity, Ann Glass a qualified pharmacist founded the Enzyme Therapy Clinic, a clinic that would try and address obesity in South Africa.

After researching the slimming industry, a fat reduction method was introduced through the clinic, as a way to overcome some of the harmful products and methods that claimed to address weight/fat loss.

Supporting doctor’s and a Professor of food science endorsed the method used, whereby increased body’s temperature 2 degrees above normal, targeted and stimulated certain digestive enzymes.

The Lipase enzyme is the enzyme needed to break down and digest fat and one of the ways to stimulate the Lipase enzyme is to increase targeted areas to a temperature of 40 degrees, at a certain frequency.

The Equipment used in the Enzyme Therapy Clinic was designed to ensure the heat transferred to the body was received at exactly the right temperature and frequency, in order for the Lipase enzyme to respond by burning fat at an optimum.

Together with this endorsed method of fat loss, the clinic worked together with qualified dieticians in order to address obesity, through not only targeting the body, but through the education of food and nutrition. 

Supporting wellness treatments were later brought in to offer a more holistic approach to overall weight loss through mind, body and soul healing.
